View of the beheading of King Charles I outside the Banqueting House at Whitehall, Westminster, with a large crowd watching the execution and a key to the main figures in the bottom margin. The building was designed by Inigo Jones and completed in 1622, it is the only remaining part of the old Whitehall Palace above ground.
