Description
195-199 Tottenham Court Road, Holborn. Front elevation of a four-storey shop, Heal & Son Ltd Home Furniture. Pillars run the length of the ground floor. A man is walking in the street. Heal's was first established by John Heal and Son in 1810 as a feather-dressing business. It moved to Tottenham Court Road in 1818 and expanded into bedding and furniture manufacture and retailing. Their purpose-built store was completed in 1854.
