Shakespeare before Sir Thomas Lucy for shooting his deer. Legend has it that a young William Shakespeare was caught while poaching in Charlecote Park. His prosecution by Sir Thomas Lucy escalated into a feud which led to Shakespeare's flight to London and the start of his rise to fame.
