Title
Houses on Upper Tulse Hill
Description
Rear view of detached and semi-detached houses at 135-143 Upper Tulse Hill, Norwood. Number 143 is a two-storey detached house with a basement. Numbers 135-137 and 149-141 are three-storey semi detached houses with basements. Built around the 1840s, these houses have been demolished and their site is now occupied by a green space, part of the St Martin's Estate of apartment blocks. Upper Tulse Hill was originally known as Upper Tulse Hill Road; it was named after Sir Henry Tulse who was Lord Mayor of London in 1683-64.
