Side and front elevation of the White Horse Public House on Poplar High Street, Tower Hamlets. Consists of a three-storey building with vermiculated stone along the sides. There is a stand alone sign with a legend and statuette of a horse. The Public House is managed by Truman. The building is flanked on the left by a three-storey brick building. On the right are buildings of varying heights and widths, a narrow two-storey wooden building selling whale products, ice cream and powder and a three-storey building with a dormer window in the gambrel roof. Two women, one with a pushchair, walk in the same direction. On the left of the view, three men huddle and a woman walks past. Although the the Public House has since been replaced with residential buildings, the inn sign survives and is Grade II listed, List Entry Number 1065068.
