Oblique view of numbers 1-3 Albemarle Street, Piccadilly, a corner block of offices and shops with four windows on to Piccadilly (numbers 61 and 62) and five windows on Albemarle Street. Numbers 1 and 2 are Grade II listed, listing number 1226679. They date from 1887 and are by Ernest George and Peto, with terracotta facing in Northern Renaissance style. They have five main storeys and double attics. There are two archways, one with entrance and a balcony above, and a row of terracotta coins with bas relief classical heads. A BMW E24 635CSi is parked outside 'The Parker Gallery', which specialised in 'Maps, Naval, Military and Transport' subjects, according to the window. Beyond this is 'Simon Kaye Ltd, Antique Silver', and on the corner with Piccadilly is the Egyptian Tourist Office with Arabic lettering and hieroglyphs above. In the background, the buildings of St James's Street are visible.
