Description
General view of York Place, Westminster, looking north-east. Various swing signs for trades hang above buildings. W. Gaynor bootmaker and repairs is trading from number 9. Further along is Burgess, Printer and stationer, then J. Doe sweep, and finally coffee and dining rooms. Opposite is At Your Service public house and signs for the British Window Cleaning Co. At the far end is number 3 George Court, with a hand cart in front. Next to number 3 is a public house possibly called the George. These buildings no longer exist.
