Description
View of path in garden of Cromwell House, King Street, Hammersmith, with garden arches and trailing plants. Part of Cromwell House can be seen in the distance. There is a tree covered in ivy and a fir tree near the house. Cromwell House was built in the eighteenth century and was demolished in 1913. During the late nineteenth century it acquired its name as it was the home of James Cromwell, a local brewer and founder of the Hammersmith Brewery along The Creek (where Hammersmith Town Hall stands today).
