Title
Houses in New Inn Street
Description
A view of the front elevations of three-storey terraced houses in New Inn Street, Shoreditch, and the side elevation of the end house, which has a fourth storey. The houses are boarded up and timbers protrude from both elevations of the first house at first floor level. Posters on the wall of the end house support the candidacy at the 1910 general election of Christopher Addison, the Liberal candidate for Hoxton, who was elected. Other posters read "Addison's budget pills cure hay fever". Several hand carts are lined up in the corner of the street with a group of people nearby. As well as several children, a woman is visible holding a child. A man is peering from a gap in the hoarding around the first house. The houses no longer exist and Curtain Road School was built on the site.
