Description
View of 101 Borough High Street, Southwark; the Boot and Flogger wine merchants. An early-eighteenth century three-storey building with mansard roof and dormer windows. The shop window displays wine bottles and below this a sign: Wines from the Wood. Above the door a sign: Wines by the Glass Bottle, Hogshead Butt and Pipe. A pipe being a large, lengthy barrel with tapered ends. The building remains as offices and is Grade II listed, number 1378360.
