Title
Slum housing in Layton Grove
Description
View looking west towards Borough High Street. A narrow, partly cobbled alley with a drain running down the centre and two cannon bollards to prevent traffic. The buildings on the right are warehouses and the buildings on the left are houses. A woman stands in the doorway of one of the houses. A cat investigates a metal box against one of the houses and a cast iron lamp post is visible. Access to the alley is via an archway under 193 Borough High Street. The alley no longer exists and the site is occupied by a commercial building.
