Title
Lord Tyrawley public house in Marylebone High Street
Description
Front elevation of the Lord Tyrawley public house, 71 Marylebone High Street and 1 Nottingham Street, Marylebone.

The building is red brick with stone and faience tile dressings. Its Edwardian 1903 exterior is Grade II listed, listing number 1239813. It has three storeys and a dormered attic above a balustraded parapet; three-window wide frontages and an unusual corner tourelle with conical capping. There are terracotta-faced arcaded windows and doors; signage on the entablature above reads, 'Patmac's Stout, Toby Ale, Harrington's'. There are cast-iron railings to the right of the main door.

In the street, at left, a man in suit and tie; at right, a car. There has been a public house on the site since the late-eighteenth century.

It was known as the Lord Tyrawley from 1774 until 1966, named after the second Baron Tyrawley (1682-1774). The building now exists as a public house named Prince Regent.
