Description
Front elevations of 19-25 Lodge Lane, North Finchley.

Number 19 is the gable end of a three-storey shop with accommodation above, in London stock bricks and with wooden crates outside. Produce appears to be stored on shelving along a side way, protected by Hessian sheeting. It is advertised as Olivers Fruiterers and Greengrocers, phone HIL 8043. In the window are stickers proclaiming 'Pick English'. Although slightly modified, a shop on the same site sells Indian and oriental foods and dried fruit and nuts today.

Numbers 21-25 are two-storey cottages with a projecting ground floor, at least partially with a corrugated roof, to accommodate shops. These are all occupied by R. Henson Ltd radio and electrical, also advertised on the same board as Lodge Trading Co. and on a projecting sign as Henson's Wholesale.

Outside is parked a Vauxhall Viva van, CEX 863F. These buildings have been redeveloped for residential accommodation.
