Charterhouse Mission Settlement in Crosby Row
Description
The rear elevation of the Rainbow Building of Charterhouse Mission Settlement in Crosby Row, Southwark, incorporating St Hugh's Church, looking west from the playground of Laxon Street School. An alleyway, Queen's Gardens, runs behind the brick wall. The side elevation of 79 Long Lane is in the background on the left, and beyond it the telegraph pole in Cardol Place. The settlement building was demolished in 2011 and the residential development on the site incorporated a replacement St Hugh's Church.
