View of Crosby Row
Description
View of Crosby Row, Southwark, looking north from Long Lane, showing a cobbled street shortly after rain. On the left is a terrace of three-storey brick buildings hosting retailers, including one selling cat food. On the right is another structure of the same height hosting Giles & Co. house repair services. A hand cart rests against its walls. Just beyond on Crosby Road is St Hugh's Church, constructed in 1898. The buildings in the view no longer exist. St Hugh's Church survived until 2011, when it was rebuilt to incorporate residential properties. The current building was designed by Micheal Trentham.
