Doorway in Pelham Place
Description
View of the doorway at 19 Pelham Place, South Kensington. A Georgian terrace of three-storey stucco houses, which also have basements. It was built in the 1830s by George Basevi and is Grade II* listed; listing number 1357487. This terrace can also be seen on image number 85737. The painted wooden door is set into a wooden frame with a glazed fanlight above. It has a single Yale key hole and a door knocker but no door handle or letter box. The steps up to the door have diamond pattern tiles, and iron railings on one side and a stone wall on the other.
