Description
View of the east side of Pelham Crescent, South Kensington, with number 14 on the left. 1-14 Pelham Crescent is Grade II* listed; listing number 1065887. It is a curved Georgian stucco terrace by George Basevi built c1825. The houses have three storeys plus basement, with steps up to the front doors, iron area railings and first-floor balcony railings. The doors have pilasters with stylised palm leaf decoration at the top. All the houses have an attic storey with a stone balustrade, and high chimneys on the roofline. A parking meter and a traditional gas lamp can be seen on the pavement on the left and the blurred image of a pedestrian on the right. On the right behind the trees is Keppel House, 91-97 Fulham Road, a block of flats built in the 1960s. This terrace can also be seen on image number 85905.
