A view of the front and side elevations of the Lister Institute, Chelsea Bridge Road, Chelsea. The building has four storeys plus an attic and is built in red brick in a free Flemish style. It is 16 bays wide. Snow lies on the ground. Two people are waiting at a bus stop outside the building. Dating from 1894-8 with later additions of 1909-10 by Alfred and Paul Waterhouse, the Lister Institute of Preventative Medicine was Grade II listed in 1987, listing number 1066261. It is now the private Lister Hospital.
