Description
Front elevation of a terrace of houses and hotels at 112-132 Sussex Gardens, Paddington, with number 132 in the foreground. Brick built in the early to mid-nineteenth century, the terrace has four storeys and basement, first-floor balconies and iron basement railings. It was Grade II listed in 1970, listing number 1264107. Numbers 110-114 were Park House Hotel and are now Athena Hotel, number 116-120 is now Gresham Hotel, 122 is Mandalay Picton Hotel, 124 is Royal Cambridge Hotel, 130 is Best Western Delamare Hotel, and 132 is Nayland Hotel. There is a woman walking in front of number 118 and a Ford Escort van outside number 124. This part of Sussex Gardens was called Cambridge Terrace up to 1937 as part of Grand Junction Road.
