Description
View of two detached houses at 181-183 Tulse Hill, Norwood. They have two storeys, basements, central porches supported by columns, and single-storey garages to the side. Number 181, known as Osborne Lodge, has broken windows and holes in the roof; number 183 is known as Woodlands. They were constructed in 1843, and in 1891 number 181 was occupied by William Tomisett a wine merchant, his wife, three daughters and a servant. Number 183 was occupied by John Dunn a bookseller, his niece, two sons, three daughters and two servants. These building were demolished in the 1970s and replaced with more modest housing.
