Description
View of 12-14 Lorn Road, Stockwell. Built on the estate of Fir House on Brixton Road, owned by Randall Jackson, a barrister. On his death, James MacDougall was made trustee of the Jackson estate, and he laid out the road in 1840. Three-storey mid eighteenth-century semi-detached building with basements, and a two-storey entrance bay to the side. Steps lead up to the porch with square pillars. The parapet frieze on the roof is of wreaths. In the first-floor window of number 14 is a Christmas tree. The front garden is enclosed by railings and cars are parked in the street. The buildings remain.
