Description
Lower floors of 19-21 St Ann's Villas, Notting Hill. St Ann's Villas runs south from St James' Gardens to Royal Crescent. The street was built as part of the Norland Estate laid out by Robert Cantwell. It consists of pairs of three-storey semi-detached houses with basements in Tudor Gothic style. Built in 1852 in red brick with blue diapering, in differing designs. Stone mullioned windows and full-height canted bay to number 21, with steps leading up to the porch. Two dustbins to the side. Numbers 19-21 are Grade II listed, number 1226513. In 1861 these were numbers 19-20, and number 20 was occupied by Jane Jackson listed a 'Lady', her daughter and son-in-law listed as 'Gentleman'.
