Description
Rear elevation of 124 St Ann's Road, Notting Hill. St Ann's Road runs south from Treadgold Street to St Ann's Villas. The street was laid out in the 1840s as part of the Norland Estate by Robert Cantwell. Part of a two-storey terrace with basement. An outbuilding on the left with writing on the door 'Jeffries Residence 124', and parked by a van and an old wooden cart. Net curtains at the windows and on the window ledge a sign '829, St A, R'. On the right is a fenced-off vegetable patch. The terrace was demolished and since 1987 it has been the site of social housing managed by the Octavia Hill and Rowe Housing Trust.
