The street was built as part of the Norland Estate laid out by Robert Cantwell. Pairs of three-storey semi-detached houses with basements in Tudor Gothic style. Built in 1852 in red brick with blue diapering, in differing designs. Stone mullioned windows and steps leading up to the porch. Number 12 and 14 are Grade II listed, number 1226516, numbers 16-18 are Grade II listed, number 1265827, numbers 20-22 are Grade II listed, number 1265828, number 24-26 are Grade II listed 1226518, number 28-30 Grade II listed, number 1265829, and numbers 32-34 are Grade II listed, number 1226519. In 1861 these were numbered 1-12, the occupants included a tailor, an operative chemist, a Royal Navy Captain, fundholders, a Baptist Minister, a Clerk at the War Office, and a Retired Officer from the Indian Army. Most families had resident servants. Cars are parked on the road.
