Description
View of 6-8 Ferndale Road, Brixton. The end houses of a three-storey terrace with basements and ornate bay windows to the basement and ground floor. There are decorative architraves around the porch and windows and steps lead up to the porches. A low wall encloses the front gardens. Built between 1870 and 1882 by Josiah George Jennings, a noted sanitary engineer and an enthusiast for the newly-fashionable terracotta as a building material. The buildings remain.
