Description
28 Durand Gardens, Lambeth. This semi-oval shaped enclave with enclosed gardens set into the centre was developed in the nineteenth century. Number 28 is a mid-nineteenth-century villa made from stock brick of two storeys and is Grade II listed. A stucco frieze and cornice with paired brackets. Chimneys are at the edge of the roof. There are sash windows in moulded architraves with bracketed cills. Steps lead up to the door which has a classical surround and round-arched porch. A brick wall marks the boundary and foliage spills over from the right and an open garage is to the left. A car is parked on the road. Tree branches extend into the street from the opposite side.
