Title
House in Durand Gardens
Description
19 Durand Gardens, Lambeth. Nineteenth-century house of two storeys with neo-classical detailing such as the Corinthian columns on the portico. This two-storey house has a modillion cornice with low-pitched roof and chimney walls on either end. Sash windows with architrave mouldings and iron cill-guards are on the lower windows. Stippled rendering is on the surface of the brick. Steps lead up to a central door and a low ornate iron gate sits between two brick posts with a box hedge either side. An iron lamp post is positioned in front and this view looks much the same today.
