Description
This Grade II listed villa at 47 Groveway, Lambeth, was built in the early to mid-nineteenth century using stock brick. It has three storeys and a basement, and a low-pitched slated roof with chimney walls at each side. There is a soffit with elaborate brackets and moulded cornice in the eaves. There are architraves around the sash windows where curtains can be seen. On the ground floor the windows have a console bracketed cornice and pediments. There are bracketed cills with cast on the ground floor. Steps lead up to the central door which has a cornice head over the porch and Doric columns either side. Trees, low-level bushes and a fence behind a low-level wall is in the front garden.
