Description
View of Roupell Street, Waterloo, on the corner with Cornwall Road. Number 23 Cornwall Road on the corner with Roupell Street, an early to mid nineteenth century two-storey building. The shop on the ground floor is a barber's shop and has windows with net curtains, and pictures of men's hairstyles. The building is Grade II listed number 1184755, and the shop remains a barber shop. Number 24 Cornwall Road a two-storey commercial property with four windows on the first floor. Number 43-45 Roupell Street, an early to mid nineteenth century two-storey terrace. In the 1820's John Palmer Roupell, a gold refiner, laid out modest two-storey houses on what had been marsh land on the south side of the river Thames. The terrace number 43-61 is Grade II listed number 1064980.
