View of 7-9 Palace Gate, Kensington. These houses are part of 3-15 Palace Gate; an 1860s white stucco terrace which is Grade II listed; listing number 1066004. The porches have stone columns with stone balustrades at first-floor level and iron railings at pavement level. The attic rooms have oval shaped windows. Number 7 has a boot scraper to the right of the front door and a parking meter is visible. There is a circular ‘coal hole’ cover next to it on the pavement where coal could be delivered directly into cellar coal stores under the pavement. Number 9 has a package on the step and a bottle of milk by the right-hand plant. An estate car with roof rack is parked outside.
