Houses in Lansdowne Road
View of front elevations of semi-detached houses at 42-44 Lansdowne Road, Notting Hill. The classical, stucco houses are 4 storeys (including lower ground floor), have a dentil cornice at the top and are mostly obscured by trees. In front of the iron gates to number 42 a workman is mixing cement and rebuilding the wall. A pile of sand, a stack of bricks, a wheelbarrow, a spade and a watering can are visible. The street is lined with mature trees in the pavement. Parked in the street are an Austin Mini (registration WMM 662G), an MG Midget Mk I, a Renault 4 and an Austin A40 Farina.
