Description
View of front elevation of detached house at 1 Lansdowne Road, on the corner of Ladbroke Road, Notting Hill. The five storey (including basement) building is brick built with a decorative cornice between the first and second floors, decorative quoins on the corners and a bracketed, overhanging roof. It was built in 1843-5 by James Thomson and extensively altered and enlarged in 1900 by Aston Webb. Driveway and large front garden with mature trees behind concrete wall. Mature tree and triangular traffic sign with a light set into the pavement. Part of the building, on the left of the picture, has since been redeveloped as a separate dwelling number 78 Ladbroke Road.
