View of front and side elevations of end-of-terrace houses at 235-237 Lancaster Road, Notting Hill, at the corner of Treadgold Street. The end of terrace, brick built three storey building, at 235 Lancaster Road, with a "Romanesque" entrance up steps with arcading on the corner of the house facing Treadgold Street, was built in 1863 by J.F. Bently. Numbers 237-239, on the right of the picture, have iron railings and steps up to a stone portico supported by plain, round columns. Parked in the street is an Austin A35 Countryman van (registration VYF 417) and a Ford 100E Prefect (registration VOD 651). The terrace numbers 237-259 have since been demolished and now forms part of the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School grounds, however the building on the corner, now renumbered 1-2 Whitchurch Road, was Grade II listed in 1949, listing number 1225245.
