Description
A view of 1-2 Pembroke Cottages in Kensington, near the junction of Pembroke Square, Edwardes Square and Earls Walk. These semi-detached houses are two storeys tall. In 1909-11 number 1 Pembroke Cottages was the headquarters of the Suffrage Atelier, a group set up to create artworks and banners to support the suffrage movement. An English Heritage blue plaque for the artist and writer William Rothenstein was placed on this building in the year 2000.
