Description
View of 16-26 Clarendon Road, Notting Hill, a three-storey terrace of stucco houses with basements, built in 1844, probably by James Thomson. They are Grade II listed; listing number 1189951. The first-floor windows have window balconies and the front doors have covered porches with columns and steps from the pavement. In the distance are 12-14 Clarendon Road, which are also Grade II listed; listing number 1080698. Clarendon Road was built in the 1840s and the north end of the road, east side, borders the Ladbroke Grove Park and Garden Estate which is Grade II listed; listing number 1000242. On the corner of Lansdowne Walk is a pillar box, and on the front step of number 26, in the foreground, is a traffic warning lantern with a small pile of bricks. There is a builder’s skip on the road and a pile of sand beside it, in front of the Mini which has been adapted from the regular shape.
