Houses in Clarendon Road
Description
View of 69-71 Clarendon Road, Notting Hill. A pair of three-storey semi-detached houses with basements, brick with plaster detail around the windows and roofline, and porches with Ionic columns. The basement of number 69, on the left, was evidently a separate flat as there is an arrow with ‘69A’ painted on the front gate post and porch column, to direct visitors. Number 69 has a wooden gate across a driveway, and the shops on Clarendon Cross, just around the corner, are visible through the trees on the right. Clarendon Road was built in the 1840s and the north end of the road, east side, borders the Ladbroke Grove Park and Garden Estate which is Grade II listed; listing number 1000242.
