Pair of semi-detached houses known as Canonbury's Victorian Villas at 2-4 Alwyne Villas, located within a conservation area. Three storeys over stuccoed basement; two bays wide with porch entrances to the side. Trees at the front. Grade II listed, built c1850, developed and probably designed by James Waggstaffe. Named after Spencer Joshua Alwyne Compton, 2nd Marquess of Northampton.
