Front elevations of buildings situated at 281-289 King's Road, Chelsea, including M. Silver & Sons, specialists in watch and clock repairs. Marjorie Parr Art Gallery and Chelsea Book Shop. Sandwiched between the latter is the entrance to 'Raffles', the exclusive private members' club. The club took its name from Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles and was founded in 1967 by Peter Evans, the steak house restaurateur. Members included The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and Vivienne Westwood as well as numerous members of the royal family.
