Title
Houses and Sultan public house in Sultan Street
Description
View of terraced houses at 1-47 Sultan Street, Camberwell, looking south east. The Sultan public house, advertising Meuxs beers, is at 37 Sultan Street next to an alley leading south to Hollington Street. At 39-41 Sultan Street there is a confectioner's shop owned by G.Burgin and a Ford 100E van parked outside. The picture was taken from behind the wall outside Palgrave House. All of the buildings in the picture have since been demolished to make way for two high rise blocks on the Wyndham & Comber estate.
