Description
View from inside Hatcham Manor Works looking out of the northern entrance onto Tustin Street, Peckham. The works were located on the southern side of Tustin Street between residential house numbers 58 and 62, and opposite the junction with Cambrook Street. The business was operated by Horace Cory & Co. Ltd, manufacturers of dyestuffs, paints and chemical pigments. Two rows of wooden barrels laying on their side in the foreground. Upright wooden barrels visible at the left of the image. A Renault Fregate car is parked in front of buildings to the left centre of the image. Front elevation of house numbers 51 and 53 Tustin Street can be seen through the works entrance. Tustin Street no longer exists and the area was fully redeveloped in the 1960s to create the Tustin Estate of high rise residential accommodation.
