Title
Buildings in Cadogan Place
Description
A general view of 28-33 Cadogan Place, Chelsea, from the corner of Pont Street where a car is parked. Four-storey and five-storey nineteenth-century buildings in similar style, with railings outside leading up to entrances and iron balustrades in front of windows on first and second floors. Grade II listed. Very few changes have been made to the buildings: a fifth floor added to number 28 and all windows on the end have been bricked up. A blue plaque was erected at number 30 by the Greater London Council in 1975 to commemorate Dorothy Bland (Mrs Jordan), actress, who lived in the house 1812-15. Facing Cadogan Place Gardens, the site of eighteenth-century London Botanic Garden.
