Description
View of 44 Cadogan Place, Chelsea, built in early nineteenth-century opposite Cadogan Place Gardens. It is white with a portico above the entrance as are all the neighbouring houses. In 1895 inhabited by Mrs Marcon. Two cars are parked on the street. The one on the left is a Hillman Minx estate. The buildings have not been altered, except the numbering now changed to 43a and 43b. A blue plaque is erected to commemorate William Wilberforce who campaigned for the abolition of slavery and died there in 1833.
