Description
General view of Picton Street, Camberwell, looking west. On the left of the picture, with iron railings in front is a terrace of seven houses from 88-100 Picton Street and beyond that, on the corner of Bantry Street, is the lodge house of a school. On the right, with a wooden picket fence in front is a terrace funning from 89-99 Picton Street. Further down the street, at is a tall block of flats called Belmond Buildings. A horse-drawn carriage and a truck are visible in the street and several children look towards the camera. All of the buildings in the picture, with the exception of the school and lodge house, have since been demolished and the area redeveloped.
