Description
View of front elevations of houses at 13-18 Holly Grove, Peckham Rye, Southwark. Part of a terrace of two-storey plus basement brick built houses. Number 13 nearest the camera has a small front garden enclosed by a low wall and steps with cast iron handrails leading up to the recessed front entrance porch. Number 14 has a small front garden enclosed by a wooden picket fence and the building is painted white and has steps leading up to a stucco prostyle porch with square columns and added canted bay window to ground floor and basement. Number 15 has a small front garden enclosed by a low wall, the building is pebble-dashed and the outer entrance bay is bowed with Tuscan columns to curved portico supporting a bay window above consisting of sash windows with margin lights between panelled pilasters. Number 16 has a small front garden enclosed by a wooden picket fence, and steps with cast iron handrails leading up to the recessed front entrance porch which is flanked by two round and two square Tuscan columns supporting a dentilled pediment. Numbers 17+18 are semi-detached houses with small front gardens enclosed by wooden fences and a car is parked in the driveway to the left of number 17. Parking meters, some with canvas covers, line the pavement and parking bays are painted on the road. A street lamp post with a plastic litter bin and a one way street sign attached is visible. Numbers 11-14, 15+16 and 17+18 were Grade II listed in 1972; List Entry Numbers: 1385611, 1385612 and 1385613.
