Description
View of front elevations of houses at 8-18 Highshore Road (previously Hanover Street), Peckham. Four brick-built, two-storey semi-detached houses linked by single storey extensions. Numbers 8+10, nearest the camera, are stucco on the ground floor and the rest of the street are fully stucco. The garden of number 8 is paved and a galvanised steel bin is visible behind wrought iron gates. Number 12 has a curved glass awning above the front door and number 14 has a wooden, lattice frame attached to the wall around the ground floor window. Numbers 8-14 have a storey band between the ground and first floors. The small front gardens are behind low walls, wooden fences and hedges. A rare, rear-engine Glas Goggomobil T-series sedan (registration 732 WML) is parked in the street. A street lamp post is visible in the pavement. Numbers 8-14 and 16+18 were Grade II listed in 1998; List Entry Numbers: 1385602, 1385603.
