Description
View of the Sunday School buildings to the rear of St James's Church, Florida Street, Tower Hamlets. The rear of the church is visible in the background. St James the Great is a large brick-built church on Bethnal Green Road. The 'Red' Church as it was known, was built in 1844 by Edward Blore, who also worked on Buckingham Palace, Lambeth Palace and Westminster Abbey. The vehicular entrance on the left has been built over with flats, numbered 68 - 86 Florida Road.
