Description
View of rear elevation of 74 Sclater Street, Bethnal Green. Pantiles cover the two main roofs and corrugated iron or asbestos cover the lean-to. This weavers’ tenement house was constructed 1718-20 and form the last remnant of a terrace. Three storeys with a cellar, and staircases to the front. Each floor comprises one room which served as both a working and living space. Although not a listed building these buildings are due to be incorporated into a new development of the Bishopgate Goodsyard area. All these buildings still exist.
