Title
Painters' Hall in Little Trinity Lane
Description
View of the hall of the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers at Little Trinity Lane, City of London. This is the 1961 incarnation of the hall, as designed by Denis Harrington. The previous hall was destroyed by bombing in 1940. A hall had originally been at this location since 1532 as bequeathed by Alderman Sir John Browne, Sergeant Painter to Henry VIII. The coat of arms of the company can be observed on the pole to the left of the door. A van can be seen at the end of the lane.
