Title
Entrance to Lloyd's of London in Leadenhall Street
Description
The original entrance to Lloyd's of London in neo-classical style at 12 Leadenhall Street, City of London. Festooned garlands frame the doorway. A semi-circular dome sits above the balustrade in the portico. Window boxes are visible on the lower windows. Two men wait by a bus stop outside. A man with a briefcase is dwarfed by the entrance to Lloyd's as a businessman crosses the road behind a passing car. This 1928 building, designed by Edwin Cooper, was built on the site of the old East India House. Only the facade now remains of Cooper's building.
