Title
Lloyd's of London in Leadenhall Street
Description
Suited pedestrians walk along Leadenhall Street, City of London, passing numbers 12-14 where Lloyd's of London is situated. The old entrance of the building seen here was designed by Edwin Cooper in 1928 in neo-classical style with grand half-domed entrance. The crowning pediment of the entrance features a sculpture by Charles Dorman: at the centre is a globe with a man representing shipping and a woman representing commerce. Cars outside the building from left to right are Mk3 Cortina, a Hillman Avenger and a Mk4 Cortina with mangled bumper. A black taxi cab advances on the right.
